Deborah has more than 20 years’ experience in national charities, from the Women’s Sports Foundation to the YMCA. She specialises in strategic development and growing charities to maximise their impact. She is also CEO of Active Gloucestershire.
Malaki is a music producer, sound engineer and music educator with more than 10 years’ experience in the industry and community. His skills are in music technology and production, songwriting, vocals (rap) and artist development.
Anita is a freelance writer and communications practitioner who works in Gloucestershire and nationally with organisations who use music and arts as a tool in education, social justice, health and wellbeing.
Lead for vulnerable young people & safeguarding
A founder of Forest of Dean Music Makers (which went on to become Gloucestershire Music Makers and then The Music Works), Mark has 30 years’ experience in music education and community arts as a workshop leader, manager and trainer. He specialises in music inclusion.
Senior music leader
Barney is one of our main music leaders: a musician, producer, rapper, music leader and videographer. He specialises in working with young people with low confidence, lack of self-esteem and learning and behavioural challenges.

Salo is another of our main music leaders: he leads our whole class iPad music tech programmes and also works in a number of APS settings. He’s an ex-youth worker, and a jazz guitarist, keyboardist, bass guitarist and drummer and also musical director of the Groove Majors band.
Music leader, vocal specialist
Liz Terry is a singer, Natural Voice Practitioner, trainer and group leader with 20 years’ experience of working in the field. She trained as a Community Music Tutor, specialising in vocals and has led and directed a variety of vocal based projects and cross arts projects in a range of community, education and health settings.
Senior music leader, lead for disability
Lee is a qualified teacher and music technology workshop leader with extensive experience in the music industry. He has a proven track record of working with and engaging teenagers from challenging backgrounds, and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
SoundSpace studio manager, music leader
Robin is a skilled musician and engineer, and runs our Forest of Dean studio, SoundSpace, in Cinderford. He is also one of our team of music leaders, and was once one of our participants, taking part in an after-school club at primary school.

Rob Kempner is a trained primary teacher with a music specialism. He has over 20 years’ experience in both urban and rural schools, including eight years as a head, and is an expert in inclusion.
