Want to work in a music studio for a living?

Our Studio engineering programme is an intensive four-month course for aspiring engineers, taught at industry standard at the Hub: our studio in Kings Square Gloucester.

During your four months of training, you’ll get high-quality teaching covering everything you’ll need to become an engineer in a music studio. Following training, you’ll progress to working in one of our three recording studios across the country, and be introduced to work experience opportunities in a professional recording studio.

Who is it for?

You must:

• Be aged between 16 – 25
• Be based in Gloucestershire
• Interested in sound engineering 

What will you get?

• The opportunity to record, edit and mix vocal and band sessions to an industry-standard
• An understanding of the basic setup of a studio, with confidence to be able to troubleshoot in any setting
• Help with maintaining studio equipment 
• Techniques to get the best out of the artist or musician in the studio
• Knowledge of the technical processes in the studio

After the course you will have:

• Developed your skills to allow you to become a freelance engineer, gaining the entrepreneurial skills needed to build your own client base
• The opportunity to gain regular studio engineering work after the programme ends
• The chance to undertake further training to become a music leader, working with young musicians and arts in various settings
• The opportunity to take part in exchange opportunities with the Roundhouse in London
