King’s Jam – 2,000 attend Gloucester’s urban music & dance festival

by Anita Holford | Aug 28, 2018

King's Jam urban hip-hop music festival Gloucester 2018

Last weekend (18/19 August 2018), Kings Jam festival brought over 2,000 young people to Gloucester city centre to enjoy the very best homegrown Gloucestershire talent – including Griz-O, Luzzey, Awfully Nice, and others – alongside headliners Lotto Boyzz, Belly Squad, Terri Walker and Children of Zeus.

It was a huge success, combining live music, dance and a range of workshops and conferences to support young and emerging musicians looking to build a career in the industry.

Did you go? If so, please complete the survey and help us make it happen again: https://buff.ly/2w7UtgO

Kings Jam is a community-run, community -owned event, which happens with the help and support of: The Music Works for programming and funding in collaboration with Team Multi Styles Battle, Marketing Gloucester for logistics and facilities, and funding from Arts Council England, Heritage Lottery Fund (Great Place scheme) and Paul Hamlyn Foundation
