Musicians at Sound it Out young musicians meet up

Young musicians aged 14-18 from Gloucestershire who are keen to make things happen to raise their profile, and develop and promote the scene, can get together at The Cavern, College Street, Gloucester this Wednesday 5 April, from 4.30-6pm.

The meet-ups have been happening since last Spring, and this one follows hot on the heels of the successful AMPLIFY event at the Cavern earlier this month, where two Gloucestershire-based producers/DJs showcased their work, gave demonstrations, and brought together other young musicians interested in learning more and collaborating.

Next up we’ll be discussing our monthly music nights at the Cavern – with opportunities for any young musician to perform – along with other things that young people would like to see happen in Gloucestershire to help their music making, learning and music careers.

The group/meet-ups – called Sound it Out – are being supported by The Music Works, a Gloucestershire-based charity; and Make Music Gloucestershire, the county’s music education hub, as part of a Youth Voice in Music initiative for the county.

Whether you’re a musician interested in making things happen, raising your profile, learning more about the industry; or someone who loves music and wants to help promote it, or lend your ideas and skills, everyone’s welcome.
