Genuine Panama make a fat, wriggly, souli ed indie sound.

Their inimitable blend of animated guitar pop and old school funk n’ soul seldom fails to captivate audiences and stir unsuspecting dance oors. With an original collection of crowd- pleasers, eccentric guitar riffs and buttery bass solos, they manage to hit an uncharted sweet spot somewhere between Hippo Campus and James Brown.

Since forming in 2016, their love for performing live has made for some memorable gigs around the country, from nightsat The Louisiana, Bristol and a headline slot at O2 Academy 3, Birmingham, to performing alongside the renowned Multi-Story Orchestra and collaborating with Gloucester artist Luzzey as part of the Rooftop Festival and UPSURGE programme.

The band are working on their highly anticipated EP, due in May 2019 with a UK tour to follow. More details will be coming soon…

Genuine Panama had biggest crowd for an opener I’ve ever seen. Their Bernard Edwards-esque funky bass solos had the crowd enamoured and craving more as every song progressed
